I work primarily with oil and acrylic paints, and often incorporate other mediums such as torn paper, pastel, charcoal, and cyanotype. Creating art is the way I more deeply experience life and the world around me. I am prompted by very specific moments and places, and then let this expand upon the canvas or wood. My work often references nature, childhood memories, femininity, and motherhood. I strongly believe in the creative process, and that something will always emerge: a birth, a death, a connection, a resolution, a truth that cannot be put into words.
